Swapped sub amp, now front speakers have hiss/static?!

Old thread got cluttered, Im going to try offering a simpler explanation.

I had a JL HD 600/4 with a US Amps AX-2000, everything was fine.

I swapped the AX for a Zapco 9.0XD, now I get a somewhat loud hiss/static through the front speakers. The noise is there @ Vol. 0 and gets slightly louder @ Vol. 1, then remains constant. Engine off or on.

Only changes made were the 9.0xd, and Symbilink cable insted of RCA.

Tried:

New HU

Turning gain all the way down on JL made no difference.

Re-locating amps away from each other

New rca's

Re-locating grounds

Re-locating signal wires

bunch of other stuff

Note: RCAs are grounded to HU, I re-did them many times just to be sure

What might cause noise to run through the front amp when using a different sub amp?

tried taking the zapco out?? as in completely out. reinstall your US.
Yep, with the AX-2000, everything works fine. I even sent the 9.0XD in to Zapco, they said it was 100% perfect.

If I disconnect the remote wire from the 9.0, the hiss goes away, also if I disconnect the signal cable to the 9.0.

I just read through the zapco manual online. Did you try switching the 9.0 to unbalanced? It says in the diagrams to switch if not using a balanced line transmitter. Try that and see what happens

The way it read to me was that there is a switch somewhere on or in the amp. Page 50 of your manual, on the lower left side of the input side of the amp is a pushbutton switch labeled bal/unbal. push it and run it and let us know

No, that's one of the other C2K amps not the 9.0, the 9.0 is on pg 63. Trust me I tried every combination of everything I can adjust on this amp and it makes no difference.

Im doing research on JL's differential-balanced inputs and Zapco's balanced line inputs. Im reading a lot of issues with home systems, pro audio etc.

Even when I had the brand new HU installed and everything hooked up, I had the same noise right off the bat.

I dont really fully understand the whole balanced/unbalanced thing just yet, but it seems like something could be going on here.

Anyone?
