Super noob with boss 1200 watts amp and two Pyle subs

What are yout trying to say here? SS isn't great, but its a big step up from boss. I am running a SS amp currently until my AB VFL 150.4 gets here and it sounds good and puts out good power to my door speakers.
in a hurry trying to work and type at the same time.reading owned me sorry.i thought i read it was not much better.my bad

2 subs will work on a class d 1 channel amp.fine the ohm load that is stable to that amp and wire together both subs that will equal to whatever the amp is stable at.the rubicon is 1 ohm stable so for example two subs that are wired to 2 ohms each wired together give you 1 ohms...like 4 ohms plus 4 ohms equal 2ohms....2+2=1 ohm so on and so forth.you could run several subs on a one channel amp so long as you dont exceed the final ohm load of what the amp can handle.
He is correct you should really connect the other voice coil. looks like you have dual 4 ohm coils, so id suggest running them at 4 ohm bridges on your amp for the time being.

you need to wire a series/ paralell connection to get to 4 ohms. thats running both coils on each sub in series, then both subs in parallel at the amp. heres a pic explaining a bit better.

Your amp should also indicate which terminals to use at 4 ohm bridged

You need to understand these companies will lie out of their @ss to get you to waste your hard earned cash for garbage. The quality control is really bad too. High chance of you getting a dead on arrival amp or an amp that will blow within weeks to months. Tge performance of these amps are the worse out there. Just because it says 3000 watts max it doesnt mean you will get anywhere close to a 1/4 of that rating. Any boss amp you basically subtract a 0 at the end and thats the power it "might" do.

Oh ok but I would have to wire the subs to each other and run wire from the amp to just one sub?

If you want tips man, hook up with c1500marting or blazian82, they are both forum members in LA. Im a 30 minute drive away too. Can probably show you the better deals to be had on Craigslist and give you demos of proper systems lol. Also to checkout your setup to see if you did anything wrong.

This is starting to get complicated. I opened it back up and I bridged the two pos connections with each other and the two negs with each other. Then hooked up each sub to a separate channel this won't make it explode will it? Not too keen on reopening it the sound seems to be better now that I am using both coils tho.

Bridging the pos connections will run your amp at 1 ohm. do NOT do that.

look at the picture i posted up and connect as follwed:

Do that instead.

heres a more "plain" image of the wiring

again, wire to 4 ohm

Yeah, ,I'd definitely listen to him over all the knowledgeable guys on here. Fukk their suggestions and offers for quality gear for sale.
Hes just learning man, he dont know if he dont ask right? i think he just wants a comparison answer because of the price.. idk..

OP, Good luck man, these guys here know what theyre talking about.

Theyre just trying to get you to a more "stable" system youd keep for a while. I know i started out with cheap stuff 10yrs ago, but ive learned ive LOST money doing that, by having to upgrade consistently when i kept deciding it wasnt enough. Hence, why your here now.

If that was my mentality I wouldn't post it here in the first place and would have already purchased it.....
Seriously man just meet up and we will get your situation solved and give you proper tips. Your buddy is no more knowledgeable than you if he recommended that amp, definitely refrain from his future advice.

I plan on switching this up tomorrow. I did ride around for some time on the setup I had at 1 ohm as you mentioned does this pose a chance of damaging my speakers or amp? Also thanks a lot to everyone for providing so much help this is my first post here and I'm getting faster and better feedback then I have on some other forums that I've been a member of for years.
