Sundown NEO!

true, true buying only a few piece of neo at a time is expencive. ? for ya when dose layers of coil get to a disadvantage because of weight and bigger gap? i know u will have plenty of bl just curious.

u got about 5hrs in machining there so $80hr plus $30 in cold roll. i really dont know how strong a neo u got so cost there can very.
Look up Neo prices

Basket Machining

Coil winding

Spiders

Cones

Tinsel

Plus the people he pays to assemble all this

Think about the large scale. He isnt charging 2k for a raw steel motor. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

and look at the msrp of alot of subs on the market, shit just look at the msrp on his sub and what most people pay for em pre order pricing ect.

wanted to be the first to do it...lol

What grade neo?
When I seen this, I was hoping it could be out around the same time that the other companies neos are coming out. But it seems its gonna be a while longer.
It is going to be a while still -- cool part is that when I have the design finalized I can get them in production pretty quick being made locally.

I am using N52 Neo.

SPLAudio,

The 12-layer is for my other big ferrite prototype. It has a huge Mms but I found that the added motor force compensates for it pretty well -- when I did back to back with a Nightshade I was around 2 dB louder at the time with over 100 grams extra moving mass.

I have gotten a Nightshade quite a bit louder since so I plan to do another head-to-head when the v.2 ferrite Monster motor comes in.

This neo is going the other way... it will have a low MMS and will have even more motor force than the Monster does without using so many layers in the coil.

Even at an order of around 1000 pcs the amount of neo I'm using in this motor costs more than buying almost any complete ferrite motor from Asia.
