Subwoofer Output Issue

Maybe I am just being a bit ****, but this subwoofer sounds as if there is something wrong with it when running on free-air. When I put it inside the enclosure, it sounds even worse.



It seems as if there is something rubbing internally? Anyone else able to hear the issue?

Not that it matters, but its a JLW6v2.
