cars with trunks up front? subwoofer setups how do they work?

if the trunk is up front? how will sound get through the dash/firewall?
well unless the trunk is completely sealed off from the cabin, there should be plenty of output. If not, then putting the subs in the cabin is your best best if you have room.

Or just get a normal car........

Since a subwoofer is supposed to sound like its in front of you like the rest of the speakers I'm not really seeing a downside to having the trunk in front of you..

↑ What he said. Bass is omnidirectional and thus, it doesn't really matter where the subs are... you'll hear and feel them provided the setup is adequate.

Think of it this way... when you go to a concert, are the drummer and bass guitarist at the back of the venue?

I ask a similar question of people who want a lot of rear fill in their vehicles.... when you go to a concert, do you stand with your back to the band?

shouldnt have a firewall if the motor isnt up front to begin with. also yours has to come from your trunk through rear deck back seat and everything else until it gets to you. Be bad *** to port that mofo right into the kick and be a usaci champ be like port wars from the trunk lol

Firewall is what we call the panel between the cabin and the front compartment of the vehicle. That there isn't an engine in front of the cabin does not mean there isn't a panel dividing the front section of the vehicle from the cabin. That panel is called the firewall.

Bass is omnidirectional and thus, it doesn't really matter where the subs are
that's complete non sense.

flip your subs in the trunk facing the cabin and see the loss of output you get. There's a reason why factory subs are always placed in the extreme corners of the vehicle, and that is to reduce or eliminate out of phase reflections that cause loss of bass.
