Well the sa-12's f3 is @ 43hz sealed. So keep that in mind.

Why does that matter? Was that measured in his car?

the 15" mb quart thats $100 is a nice SQ sub, but might not get too low or loud, not sure.

i would go with an IDMAX 12, FI Q 12", shiva 12, AE

or any of these subs

I am still researching (info and pricing) on the subs mentioned throughout the thread.

Any more comments would be helpful (especially side-by-side comparisons).

i had one of those? there great subs but the one u got is hard to come by. i miss that sub lol.

It's in good hands....now lol. My buddy didn't even power it up since he bought it off you, but still managed to destroy the dust cap lol.

op should look in to a mag they like lower tunning but they do get loud off of 1000 rms.

OO yea.... get an 12" Icon... I was even going to get another one recently, but ended up getting a Mag Claw really cheap. So far they both sound the same from what I can remember (but that's off 240watts and in my room)

I'd say the Icon is the new Mag (v1), if not better, but that's just me. I will decide if that statement is still holds true once I order my amp and put it in the car lol.

ive heard a FI SSD, and a dc lvl 3. imho they are not SQ subs. While they dont sound bad at all, they do not compare side by side to a SQ sub.

dont get me wrong, its a great sub, very musical, but if u really are truly looking for SQ, its not what i would go with.
