Subwoofer Amp UPGRADE Advice really needed.

IF they are D4's =

this is the wiring scheme for 2 D4 subs to be hooked to the Kenwood Bridged mono.

I would recommend pushing mid/ highs with the KW and researching further on the subs and buying an appropriate amp for the task

I gotta sign off now, but PLEASE... NO PREFAB BOXES!! As stated above, they are indeed tuned way too high and are way too small.

Take your time soaking up info, and make well calculated decisions. You'll be just fine.

BTW, I would disconnect those rear tweeters and just roll with the Diamond coaxials for now.

Peace.

Thanks, I honestly think you guys are awesome for helping me. The box I have, weighs a ton, a little more than 3 feet wide, and it is also as deep as it's height.

It sounds good. Wouldn't lie.

I tried believe me, but the diagram is so basic speakers don't even resemble speakers nor wire wires. Two much criss crossing in that basic dialog for me to understand it.

Not really worried about it going to have someone do it for me tomorrow morning.

I don't think I could get a wider box in my trunk. That one takes the entire length from left to right. I think a deeper box might sound better for these subs. Incidentally the Kicker CompVR factory box is much smaller than the one I have. My point, that you can't properly fit them without going to 10". But, you really don't need to be wider, just more internal volume, which can be achieved with more depth, when properly designed.

Can I ask a question? When I took my 12"s out I noticed some sealant in the box to glue the parts of the box together. I expect the people that make these make so

many that they don't really use as much sealant as they could. Would it help to seal re-enforce the integrity of tinside of the box along those adhesive lines in the box. If so what type of sealant.
Yes, it's often recommended when you buy ****** store boxes, that you go over the seams with some silicone to ensure it's sealed up properly.

I feel ya. Like I said this box is **** heavy and solid as heck, not sure who builds these things, I bought it from my local sound shop, all they sell are speakers, amps, and wiring. They also install.

i apologize for not being able to do it for you for free...tell ya what though, if you thing wiring is fun, wait til you get into designing your own box and beating it together.
I actually am looking forward to studying how to build my own enclosures, can't wait. Off the top of my head a final question for the night, get back to it when you can. What is the most preferred material to build a box with. I've kind been wondering for a while. Thanks!

If you had difficulties with the wiring schematic im thinking you may have problems building a box.

Also -material is mdf.

@quackhead. All he did in the length of the video you specified is connect the subwoofers negative to negative and positive to positive creating a single positive and negative line. That's basically Parallel wiring, but I you specified I would need to do Parallel and Series wiring for each subwoofer am I wrong. And by the way these subwoofers are not connected, they lead out separately to the amplifier, but I'm not sure if they go into the same slots in the back of the amplifier, have to check.
