Like the title suggests is there any substitute for a high output alt? the only reason I ask is because for whatever reason I'm having trouble finding one for my vehicle. ive been able to find one but its numbers don't offer much of a benefit for the price. I'm running about 800w rms. and id like to add an additional sub and go up to about 1100 rms. at idle all of my lights dim. on the highway I don't have that issue unless I'm really pushing it high volumes with low notes. I'm ordering a big 3 upgrade, but is there any thing else i can do along with that to help support my stock electrical system. My car has a stock 110A alt. it has a factory 450 watt amp for my stock audio and id be running dual 10s @ 2ohms in a ported box tuned to 35hz. I know its a bit of a noob question and if I left any important info out just tell me and I can add it.

Throw a lithium battery at it and it will stiffen the electrical system or throw an ultra capacitor at it. That will help as well.

I would also go to an actual alt shop and see if they could build you something a built bigger 180amp should fit in nearly every alt case and be plenty to run 2000w

should I put the lithium battery in the back with the sub as an extra? Or up front as my main battery? Or both?

In the back. Down4sound has the LTO 6.0 on sale now (or they did). Those have mixed reviews but would work great with your stock electrical (as long as you charge below 14.8). Just that one battery would probably solve all your problems.

I mean...any decent LTO will do. Just be sure to get something that charges in the right voltage range and you'll be (y)

Yea that wasn't a decent lto. They are 5s lto and fail when charged above 14v they also have next to no capacity. I get they were one of the first to come out so ignorance plays a part but that d4s 6.0lto is one of if not the worst car audio targeted options available.

You just found your own solution. Move the DSP elsewhere. The RCA is triple protected but not the RCA plugs. I do not know if there is a mesh or...

What the ****? Are you trying to put ohm's law into very complicated verbiage?
