Like the title suggests is there any substitute for a high output alt? the only reason I ask is because for whatever reason I'm having trouble finding one for my vehicle. ive been able to find one but its numbers don't offer much of a benefit for the price. I'm running about 800w rms. and id like to add an additional sub and go up to about 1100 rms. at idle all of my lights dim. on the highway I don't have that issue unless I'm really pushing it high volumes with low notes. I'm ordering a big 3 upgrade, but is there any thing else i can do along with that to help support my stock electrical system. My car has a stock 110A alt. it has a factory 450 watt amp for my stock audio and id be running dual 10s @ 2ohms in a ported box tuned to 35hz. I know its a bit of a noob question and if I left any important info out just tell me and I can add it.
