i want a single 12" sub.

my setup so far:

alpine cda-9807 hu

alpine type-r 13s front speakers

alpine type-r 17s rear deck

A well built ported box can also give you clean sound.

i would take the q over type-r for clean accurate linear bass. 2 cubes @ 30 hz ported with about 25-30 square inches of port would be my suggestion for an sq box.

type-r is more of a budget spl sub

an ascendant audio assasin would be another good choice.
