The old sub-12 Type R wired to two ohms.

Wires-Knuconceptz 4gauge wire set

Stock alt no big three

Old Box-2.3@33hz

KK thats what i had im tryin to get sum more SPL... I wanna sub that can handle amp wired to 1 ohm... Had the amp benched and it benched at 1468@1ohm... The old box is a pretty tight fit.. I really dont know where i would get extra space.. I was think 2 12's sealed/high end 12 ported/15 sealed...

Budget is 300 .. want a sub new with warranty..

Or maybe a 15btl fully loaded sealed...

2 dc level 3s sealed. A bit more then 300 but not much. Or 2 type Rs sealed.. Its going to be hard to get that $300 number but the Rs will be around $250

I wonder why my one 12 blew...It was wired at 2ohms... Only had it for about 10months....

So with the extra power and another type r and changing to a sealed box how do u expect sound to change...

BTLs need much more power then that! That will tickle it.. For your $$ the alpines will be your best bet. I think they will be the only 2 12s in your price range that will take full advantage of the amp and work sealed.

What about 1 12BTL fully loaded ported @1OHM or maybe 1 15BTL fully loaded@1ohm sealed???

And whats different about the new model Rs besides mounting depth??

The new Rs are 600 rms instead of 500.. Bro BTLS need atleast 2K if you go sealed. And will nowhere near the output of 2 12s powered correctly. Put 2500 on the BTL its a diffrent story. Maybe 1 BL or Q but the Rs will still have more cone area so more output.
