Sub Upgrade - Something a little cleaner

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my subwoofer I have right now to something that sounds a better.

Right now I have a single 12" Alpine Hype-R with a Kicker ZX750.1 that does 750 x 1 @2 ohms(more like 900 on the birthsheet). I currently have that in a 2.0 cu.ft ported box tuned at 34Hz. I am looking to spend in the $300-$400 range but would like to stay around the low $300's. I would also like to keep my box if I could.

I have this set-up in a 99 VW Beetle. I usually listen to rap but like to listen to some rock as well. My main goal is to get a sub thats sounds great and is accurate, but can still get loud when I need it to.

I have been reading about the Fi lineup and I am thinking about the Fi SSD. I would like to get the Q, but I see that it likes 1000watts and over to be presented to it. I also saw that you should get the copper coil if you want better SQ?

Thank you in advance for any help that you guys give. I hope I gave enough info on my wants.

get a TC 10 OEM and forget about it. that little fcker will pound off of 900rms and sound insane doing it. or if you have the money, go for the TC9 or TC2000. both are SQ monsters and will sound nicer than anything that Fi offers. output may be a different story but im positive that the subs I've mentioned so far should be sufficient.

I haven't herd of them before. I can build a new box, dont know how much bigger I can go in my trunk though. I have the money for either the TC9 or the TC2000. Are those better than the TC 10 OEM?

The SQ on the TC9 and especially the TC2000 are easily some of the best out there. The TC10 OEM has a lot of output but its also a 10". I would imagine that the TC9/TC2000 12" has the same output. If output is also a concern, look into the TC3000. You would sacrafice a small amout of SQ but you will gain a ton of output and still sound great. The TC3000 12" can also hit insanely hard and get very low in a tiny box of about .7ft^3 sealed. Im not a TC rep or anything but fvck they make some of the best subs. http://www.TCSounds.com

TC-9, TC-2000, RL-P.....all based on the TC9 motor. They have different soft parts and are priced differently. You can expect them to sound some what identical.

I'm leaning towards that TC 10 OEM. Just a couple more questions on it. It will do fine on my 900watt amp correct? It will still get pretty loud? But it does sound great as well , correct? I guess I need to outgrow this "loud" stage of my life and focus in on the quality of the sound.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
