both are good, as many people will tell you one is better than the other from owning a hype r and hearing a cvx, the r handled more power and was a little louder, but i thought the cvx went alot lower and stayed more linear and had better SQ in my opinion, both great budget drivers. The type r you can def put alot of power to it..

but power does not alway's mean one will be louder. Good install, port area, and enclosure tuning will make one stand out from the other

i reccommend you buy my 12 inch cvx //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif j/k but overall the cvx would probably be louder
