Flatwound coils have better heat dissipation because they have more surface area. Most of that stuff seems more competition oriented. If you're running higher power on these, you may opt for the cooling options. Idk if I would do the extra spider because of it's affect on music. I'm not sure what the lead wire upgrade actually changes.

All those options are based around making the woofer handle more power.

It’s easiest to communicate with ssa on Facebook messenger. Like everyone else said their subs are very conservatively rated. I was giving mine over rated power and it definitely wants more. Took it out till I do a build that can give it the power it needs.

Any input on these? CT Sounds I was thinking 4 would be nice for my Smart 3. Dual 2 ohm so I can get it down to 1 ohm.

I’d stick to SSA. I know I suggested 2 GCONs earlier, but might as well get 2 ICON 15s. They’re better and for some reason cheaper than the GCONs.
