Sub Recommendation - requirement's included

Hey all,

I'm looking for advice on a high end SQ sub.

Number of subs preferred: 1 preferred, 2 max

Size preferred (if configuration allows): 12

Budget: $1000

Power to be used (which amp(s), include which resistance): Hertz HDP @2 ohms, 550w x 1

Space available (take measurements, do not guess): .95 cu ft per sub, in sealed "stealth" boxes side firing in trunk of sedan.

Goals: Tight, accurate woofers that can also get reasonably loud when desired. Doesn't need to be big SPL. Much more interested in sound quality.

Listening habits: Rap, Rock, Pop

Preferred brands/subs/whatever: I'm running Focal Polyglass components for front, rear, and rear deck. So maybe something that would blend reasonably well.. but that would take a back seat to the SQ reqt.

Picture of the fiberglass sub box I'm using here:

Thanks for the reply. My Google skills must be weak, I can't find a whole lot of info or reviews on that woofer. Do you have any further info, or links I could check out to learn more?

Any other opinions?
there are other nice sq subs daytons are nice but it's the low power amp that limits options some of these guys run 2500-4k rms to 1 sub.. i have 500rms and i'm sure peeps will laugh but my pioneer is very good sub and cheap but not in .95 cf, need 1.5 really but it is very efficient 96db so u could try 1 for $70 if u don't like it u didn't lose any $.. i have 500 rms going to mine ported and it's loud.. read reviews on amazon and sonic or pioneer 3003 champ pro.. but box size is also a problem for finding 12's to recommend besides the dayton and image dynamics maybe

Dayton HO 10s..They should still carry a 5 year warranty also.Do great in sealed enclosure up to 1.4 cu ft

Ex Neighbor of mine had a pair of 12s sealed running off my Xtant 600.1 D I sold him and they sounded excellent and pretty clean, later aero ported(single cab truck) and sounded really clean and fairly loud for how cheap they are.he always had a smile on his face, and they did serve justice

Awesome guys, thanks for the ideas. I am open to adding an amp for the subs if it's necessary to get the maximum sound quality I'm looking for. I can't go much bigger on the box size, gotta keep my trunk relatively useful..

edit: I forgot to mention, I'm currently running a Sundown Audio SD-3 12 D4... 12" sub. Are any of the subs you guys suggested a step up from that? Sorry if this is a stupid question.. I've been out of the car audio world for a number of years.
