Sub Range

I had an Infinity Kappa 120.3se (12") and it was running off of a Rockford Fosgate 450s - I had mediocre results with the crossover set higher... the sub would bottom out more... but as I lowered the frequency on the crossover, the sub became more efficient, louder and more clarity. I think most people will agree that Infinity subs in general are great at lower frequencies. I came to find this out independenly and 100% agree. I would say set it at 50hz (it will obviously do frequencies lower and higher than that). But once you start getting into ranges that include lower than 30hz, especially on that entry level sub, I would think that the reproduction might not even exsist, or be unhearable. Also I experianced that the lower I tuned my Infinity, the higher I could put the volume, so just another good thing about a lowered crossover.
