Sub problem... Due to cold?

For the past few weeks (this morning was a bit warmer though) it's been pretty cold here.In my "beater" vehicle I noticed that the sub is not as loud.I'll go to start it, and on my way to work I always think "man the sub is quiet".I remember the first day I noticed it I thought something got messed up.But when I got off work, voila.

i keep mine down when its cold and sometimes off because subs rely on movement and when its cold its harder for things to move.

didnt someone do testing on the very subject and posted here on ca,com last winter
