Sub Position *please help*

Ok, here is the situation; I want to order a bandpass box that is 20" tall and 18" deep, but my trunk is only 18.25" tall. would i get the same sound and quality if I put the box in to where the plexi glass panel (front part) faces up?

Yup, it shouldnt drastically change the sq or spl either way...

where are the ports on the bandpass? my suggestion would be to either fire the ports up thru the rear deck where the factory speakers are (were), or fire them towards the tail lights.

the port position would be facing up, would it be a problem?

well i guess i'll be the one to say it....band pass is not recomended unless is designed for the specs on a particular sub....usually not recomended to the average person due to the small freq. response...the only way they sound good is as i said designed for a specific sub...sorry...
