Sub Output question on the 860 Premier

I have never had problems with a pioneer deck but over on CarAudioCentral there is a thread discussing this. Apperantly, this is one of the few Pioneer defects there are.

Another thing we just noticed, whenever it makes the pop, his engine revs up to compensate.... Even if its the pop of turning it all the way down....

even one more thing... When the filters are out, and we turn the sub off on the deck, it still moves ever so slightly....

I've installed more pioneers than I can count over the past 5 years, and I have NEVER had this sort of problem....

I'm thinking tomorrow I'm going to run constant and ground straight to the battery and see what that does.... I'm out of any other ideas :\

that is very odd, I have the same deck for the last 2 years and have never had any issues. I was going to suggest you might have had the crossover too high, but if you have it on the sub rca's the highest it can be set is 150hz I think. You got a wierd on, hope you didn't buy it off ebay...

I am pretty sure he got it from an authorized dealer, not 100% though.

could be part of pio's ground output problem they had w/ 860's and a few others a year or so ago
