sub or subs

Having a hard time trying to figure out what to run on my 2500D. I've been looking on craigslist and here, there is a few set ups but dont know what would be best.

I'm looking to spend $300-400 and want to run 1ohm to get most out of my amp.

Any input on brand/model, 1-4 subs, 8"-18"

I want the best bang for my buck

Also will more then likely need box built lol

might wanna look for used and 12's ,unless you wanna up your budget a bit

yeah used for sure. would It be better to run a single high power 12 or multiple lower powered ones?

My understanding is the more air you move the louder, to a point.
