Sub not playing again.....

Ok played the sub close to the max volume before distortion.... plays fine, then turn it down to a low listen and talking volume, on the freeway the sub stops playing. Checked the sub and the amp and their fine.

A week earlier i changed the speaker wires and that seemed to fix the problem for a week, and just today it started having the problem again. If it were a loose rca it should of cut out at least once during that week. I should do the cd player rca test if someone will tell me exactly how to do it....That would narrow it down to the power cable, ground cable, and the fuse at the battery.

Any input would help out alot.
