I was just wondering. I had a brahma 15 in my hatchback mustang facing up towards the rear window..... i wasent that impressed with it it wasent that loud at all with 1200 watts to it........ now i just put a temp system in and my sony xplod pointed diagnal back towards the hatch with about 350 watts gets really loud.... im not saying its shaking my car apart but it seems to be just as loud..... sounding like crap though.... its a 12...... could this be due to sound cancellation which is the best way to fire a sub if its in the trunk..... towards the driver rear or towards the back window(facing Up)

Something must have been seriously wrong.. maybe the amp that was pushing 1200w was having some power draw issues... I don't know about the Sony explode shaking anything. I doubt that cancellation issues were that severe.. also if it were cancellation issues it would probably sound more like the volume was going in and out. with the change of frequency beign played... or at least in my experience that is what has happened. Maybe the Speaker was hooked up incorrectly or something. Was the brahma sealed? Ported?

it wasent having draw problems i checked the voltage. it wa sgoing from 14.2 down to like 13.88 thats about it. Im not saying the brahma sounded terrible. It just wasent loud. could it be cause it was facing up. will it get louder if i point it towards the cab or rear?

I truly do not believe it was because it was facing the rear window in a hatch back... alot of people say that it actually sounds louder when firing directly into the back window of a hatch back as the glass is a hard reflection surface. But reguardless there is NO way a sony explode should be louder than a Brahma even if the brahma was in a sound proof room it would be louder than a Sony Explode.

Could of been a problem with the wiring, or the box. Did you use the same box for the sony as the Brahma? You may of just been expecting too much from the brahma. On emore thing, did you change any settings wen you puyt in the sony?

prolly just expecting to much. i guess ... it wasnet loud to me at all.. i guess cause it was in a sealed box with only like 1200 watts......
