sub is only loud when faded to rear

im sure there is a basic and easy way to fix this...

in my winter beater i have 4 stock speakers, and 1 swr-1222d sub.

when i fade to the rear on my pioneer hu, the sub is much louder.

fade to front, much less subwoofer output.

what is the easiest way to make it so that sub is at or near its loudest when im not fading to front or rear?

ive read in other posts people suggesting to remove rear speakers. i'm not going to do that.

pioneer deh 1300 (very basic) head unit...

there is no sub out, but there are rca outs. yes i have rca's running from the hu to the amp...

What these guys are trying to tell you is, with your headunit not having a specific subwoofer output, the front and rear RCA outputs are affected by the fade function just like the front and rear speakers running off the deck's amplifier.

With stock speakers running off the deck's power, Im betting your sub(s) can easily overpower the rest of the system anyway. Either leave it as is and just fade it more towards the rear when you want to bass out, and more centered or towards the front when you listen to less bass heavy material. Or, xover network permitting, use the front RCA outputs to supply the subwoofer amp.
