Evening all.

this is the car im working with.

Currently i have the 06MY Pioneer 4800mp HU running 3in stock dash,6in poineers 4ways in the front doors and 5.25 infinity reference speakers in the rear doors plus ipod hook up. nothing fancy just better than stock.

im newbie so ease up seen?

anyways i need some low end sounds. ive been looking at a 12in alpine type R sub in a ported box. kind of pricey but sounds really good to me. but now some people are telling me to geta 12in sealed box. the music i lesten to is mostly Sound Sytems(reggae/danehall music) and dance music, Louie Vega/Mastersat work.with some afro cuba, hip hop,and old disco/house music "chicago thing". thats why i was thinking a 12in ported box. but im open to a 10in alpine type r too. i would also like the sub to be dvc. so should i get ported sealed or bandpass for 1 12inch sub.

any suggestions? budget is less than $500 on sub and amp

thanks

i just want something like 500 rms.

i want boom when needed. not all of the time.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

think thats more than enough boom boom for me.

What I recommended would be perfect, then. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wagons are the ****

i put a dual setup in my girls wagon which is 2 12s bandpass and a 300 rms amp

its decent loud for duals i have to turn it down to light my lighter so thats loud enough for her

thanks for all of the advice.

i think i may with 2 10in alpine type S subs in sealed box with an alpine amp. i think this will be perfect for me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thanks DB, that definitely helps swallowing a $300 price tag 😂 these would essentially be running midbass for me too

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage
