sub eq?

Sub W2...

it has 50hz 63hz 80hz 100hz and 125hz... i read my manual and it says it cuts off the frequency. then it has a -24 through +6 ability.. is this an equalizer setting? because there is also another place in my head unit where it says EQ adjust with 50hz - 25khz -6 through +6.

im clueless on this what should i set it? or just leave it flat?

I would set the "cutoff" at 80hz. The -24 -6 is just the overall sub level (like a gain) for all frequencies below the cutoff. The eq is so you can fine tune each individual freq.

then dont turn it up while you play with it...keep the volume minimal and you can send any signal to the sub w/o causing problems

As I said, its so you can adjust the overall level of the sub. I cant tell you where to set it, it depends on the gain of your amp.

well i dont have a DMM and my the specs of my HU is 4volts out so i just figured out where 4volts on the gain dial was and set it there...
