Sub direction

Hello, I have just a few questions about the which direction I should have my subs facing for the best sound. I have a Chevy s10 ext. cab, and I’ve noticed a few boxes out there (made specific for this model) have the subs facing the floor.

My question is, would having subs facing the floor work better? I’ve always had mine facing the back of the cab, which has always sounded decent (the sub I have installed now aren’t that great, waiting for this cold weather to break to install a complete new system). Mainly I’m looking into this for once I install the JL’s I have sitting here.

Opinions? Ideas?

I'm using sealed for now, I'm on a toss up for ported yet.

sealed just fire them forward or up if you want to try that.

if you port them downfiring boxes are nice. just my opinion tho.

i know there are others who will probably agree with that

Whatever way you choose to face them, just remember that loading it properly will yield the best bass response.
