Sub Cutting Out For Split Second

I have a JVC Arsenal KSAR7001 Amp hooked to a JVC Arsenal CSAW7040 10" sub and I've loved them the past year I've had them. But recently the sub starting cutting out for a second on the real hard hits. The amp LED flickers red for a second and then goes back to green and continues to play. Everything works fine at low volume and only starts to cut out around 25 where I've been playing it for the past year. Also, it would not cut out if the car was running until today where it started to cut out while I was driving. Checked all the wiring and fuses and everything seems to be fine. Also checked the battery and there seems to be nothing wrong there either. Any ideas? Thanks!

Did you check your ground?

Yeah the ground seems to be fine, I even unscrewed it and cleaned it up just to be sure. It worked perfectly fine for the past year up until now.

Check your leads on your sub. Maybe they Are coming undone.

when you checked your wiring - did that include removing the sub and inspecting those connections?

i've also had the plastic terminal cups fail over time - actually melt and short circuit. a DMM can trouble shoot that.
