Sub comparison

I've done a ton of research on this but just can't find what I'm looking for I've got 2 hds212's I'm wanting to upgrade, and I have the opportunity to either Goto a sa12's or hds312's...... I've seen a lot of mixed opinions but no one acctually stating facts I know the sa takes 750rms and the hds312 takes 1200 but power doesn't mean everything the sa has a higher excursion than the hds so I'm just kinda stuck I already have 1 sa so I would just have to buy 1. 1 more would be about 210 or 2 hds would be 320 which I'm willing to pay if it would be louder

Whichever subs I get they will be in a 4.2 cube box tuned to 34hz

Overall looking to get louder than my current set up which is the 2 hds 212's while not sounding like crap

The subs will be ran off of a taramps dsp3k

I don't think those options will get you any louder then you already are. The SA will handle that power. I had a buddy running four Sa 10s on a DD m4a daily @ .5ohm and they took a beating from hell and kept going. But I really don't think they will be much louder with just a simple swap of little woofers... Save your money and get some bigger woofers with some motor force like zv3s or X v2s... Or ssa Xcons,

So you don't think I would see a improvement from 2 hds 212's two 2 sa12's or 2 hds312's? The 212's are on 1600 watts right now there wired to 2 ohms I would have the new subs I get on 2k if I got the sa's and about 2600 if I got the 312's

Also would 1 x12 on 2k be any better than what i have now or any of the pairs of subs I have said

I'm just looking to spend 400 maximum on subs

Oh I thought u already had the taramps 3k on these hds2's full power and we're just going to be switching woofers... Yea if you switch to 3k amp and switch to bigger/better woofers you should gain. The SA would be nice. Even the ab xfls as mentioned because those are 3" coils.

The xfls would be the best option out of those for twelves. If you up your budget a bit you can lean toward Soundqubed HDC series or start looking at incriminator audio subs. Youre best bet though is to start increasing cone area. A couple of any 15's or SA 18's in a new enclosure should net you a nice bump in volume.

I wanna Goto 15's just the fact that I just got this box not even A month and a half ago. And so the order would be xlf's the best then sa12's then hds312's? Am I right on that? And yea if I had the taramp a going full power it would tear the 212's apart

so i was wondering would 3 hds 212's on 2400 watts or 3 hds 312's on the same power be better...... just wondering if the 212's are gonna blow on that kind of power daily....... would have 2.1 cubes a sub

The hds2 should be fine as long you have a clean signal

Ssa subs are junk lol jk ssa/ fi audio/ ascendant audio are all same build house lol is ssa one of Scott's company's or just built in the same house with similar/ components? Only time you should go Chinese is for 8's because fi/ ssa/ ascendant won't make them

Yes all these ferrite motors built in china and shipped over here are killing our economy. The subwoofer CA glue they ordered from china to build the subs are wrecking havoc on our GDP. Chinese made Apple products are killing our economy.

i hate it.. i been doing electrical here lately and man these ******* idoits in office are destroying our economy. they really hurt Louisiana and texas with these oil export bands and limiting production with all these ******* non sense regulations in order to put money in there pockets. im about to save up again and reinvest and try to build some drivers and sell them in the theater market/home audio and possibly car audio(head ache)

I have the motors tooled to spec and built here in the US. coils built to spec here in the US and try to find as many american parts as i can. i just hope people are willing to pay the extra dollars for the american built stuff..

The EPA and its fked up regulations and fines is whats wrecking our economy driving every production based business to operate overseas and south the border. The idiots in office are pleasing the people voicing opinions for votes. Society is whats fked up.
