sub came today, but barely made intact

more great fuggin news.

aparantly the DD needed a bigger cutout then this sub did, so now i have a permanent air leak where i cant get screws in at all....

also when i was listening to it i realized just how shitty my frontstage was and how i REALLY dont feel like spending any more money on anything with this truck. just more of a reason to sell teh audiozzz.

We've had terrible luck since we traded originally. If we had kept what we had, we never would have been in this problem. Good luck.

Typical of those type of boxes to break. They are some cheap thin wood so the damage was probably less damaging then it looks, it did have a nice layer of styrofoam around it that looked like it was still intact.

yup...well i wanted to try out a single 12 setup for a while anyway, but ive just been getting tired of messing with everything...

Since when is xmax your excursion limiting factor?
It's not. That's why I asked how much he was getting, and if it was more than 3/4 inch, which is more than the 17 mm Xmax they list. I laughed because since they list 17 mm Xmax, it's not the like the sub is going to be moving 30 to 35 mm.

Easy fix. Just mount another baffle on the front with the right size hole. Your fronts may just need some fine tuning. After all, you did replace a major part of your system...

Hang in there.
