Did you end up datoing the top? Either way it looks great.

Also on the recessed sides if you rabbet them it makes carpeting a ton easier and only take a few seconds if you have a router table.

Na I didn't dato the top. Thanks for the pointer on the carpeting on the sides I will have to try that.

I do a 1/8 by 1/8 rabbet all the way around.
