Sub amp cutting out... low volt? only @ high vol

Sounds like a problem I started having. When my bass is cranked up, The sub amps cut out and power off. I thought that it might be a ground issue or a remote lead issue. but after reading this I have to wonder if the betteries are just draining to much. My alternator is only 110 amps too. and I have my amps strapped at 2ohms,2000rms. I will be following this thread closely...

Well, I aint going to sleep tonight, but I aint working in 25 degree weather lol, its snowing outside, Ill be wiring once the sun comes up, to me my problem is voltage @ the remote input at the sub amp, I shoulda checked what the voltage was @ the remote at the other amps

**** its snowing in Can already? ha that sucks. It don't snow here for a few more months. Tell me is ur amp cutting out when its cold or when it is normal temp?

Cuts out at both temps, Im about to wire the remotes straight from the battery, see if it helps

I had this happen recently. Would only cut out when i turned it up. Turned out to be a broken rca end on the cable. Also had that happen with an rca on the amp.

Just some off the wall suggestions. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How did you find out what was wrong though, just waitin on my bro to get back from the store with my switch then Ill be good to try
Went through the same steps you are now. I even switched amps to see if that was bad. I accidentally found the rca prob when i was holding my comp deck and it cut out several times when the cable was moved. So I wiggled the terminal and it cut out. Swapped rca cables and bam 2 weeks of killing myself searching for the prob ended up being as basic as it gets bad cable. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

So if you seen my other thread, I fixed my multimeter, I just went out on some back roads and did some voltage tests. Its my remote that I think is the cause, amp seems to be clipping when the voltage @ the sub amp remote is 11.3ish, while the amp is seeing 13.2 volts volts at its inputs and the distro block
I have all 3 remotes off my deck, so I think tomorrow Im gonna put them on a switch with some thicker cable right off my power distro block.

Easy fix I hope, still probly gonna grab some batt's
Yeah if you got three remotes running off the same lead, then i would say 90 percent sure thats all it is. I would run an 8 guage from the batt to a small distro block...i would think that would do it. But theres always a chance it could be one of "those" problems lol. Good Luck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ya I had all 3 coming off the decks turn on. I just wired it to my main power distro with a switch, aswell as my stinger voltmeter to the same source and switch.

Fixed my amps shutting down @ 17 volume, now it shuts down @ 23 lol

Voltage is in the LOOOOOOOW 11's back at the amps. time for an upgrade

NSB90's heres I come...!!

Yes the remote lead is probably the problem.I had a similar issue with my HK4000d's.The power voltage was fine but the deck was almost a full volt lower so when the bass would hit it would actually drop lower the my main power wire.Used a relay and it solved the problem.

I would say if your still having problems beyond that you need to charge your batts over night or add more.I ran 4 deep cycles plus a battery up front just to feed that beast!
