Probably the guys that I work with. There is some white trash mother fuc*er that said he blew out his windows the other day using some Argggggg's.

well overheard a guy talking to another guy about this MTX amp with dual power terminals.
The guy said one was for the power supply and the other was for the capacitor.

edit: i guess im the dumbass here, just checked the amp and it does have a terminal for the capacitor, never seen that before

Well Best Buy opened up by me about a year ago, only the second one in Buffalo, and first time i went to one, they just opened and i went and checked out the place, i went to the audio section and they had some Infinity Ref subs playing, the salesmen says to me " Man these are amazing subs and some of the best you can get, they blow away the 2 12" JL w3s(i think) by far, Im getting these things asap!!" I was like okay, i doubt that but w/e, go ahead and do that"

I would consider myself a noob to alot of guys on here, but these BB guys are retards, i think i know more than these guys, at least the Circuit City across the street has a good audio dept, suprisingly, haha the guys are pretty honest and have some brains and are decent installers

I had a guy telling me about how he "Ventilated" his subs once. I assume he meant blew... but ventilated? That's a new one.

I told a guy on accident that I had 2 fifteen THOUSAND watt amp and he said, ****, thats a lot of power.
I told him that I needed 200 ft of 1/0 and he said, ****, thats a lot of wire. I then proceeded to tell him that I was running power and ground from the battery. To which he replied you know that will fry your alternator. He said I should be ok with one run and a gold plated distribution block.

Oh this was the guy at the local audio shop by the way.

Unfortunately I missed it, but at the show last weekend my teammates and I were chilling outside.

During this time, some kid came into the shop and asked what the high score at the show was, which was me with a 150.2. The kid then claims that he hit 192 dB in his mustang (which of course he didn't have with him).

I wish I would have been there, because I would have called him an asshat.

The most recent thing that happened to me was at my local car toys, about 5 months ago. I was there getting my SD2.5's loaded into my box cause I didnt have the tools at the time. I wanted them wired to 1 ohm, so of course they have to argue, "its not safe, I'll wire it to 4 ohms for you" I tell them the electrical upgrades I have and tell them that I'm paying and want it wired at 1 ohm. He proceeds with his arguments and starts questioning me about my amp. "How old is it"? I tell him a little less than a year old. He goes on to tell me "They stopped making 1 ohm stable amps 3 years ago". I laughed in his face and said "just wire it to 1 ohm".

Not the best story, I know. But it was funny to me at the time

Recent encounters with idiots:
"blew out my back window"

"My friends car is easily doing over 200db, your wall must not be loud then."

"I didn't use the grommet that the audio shop gave me running my power wire threw the fire wall cause I couldn't find the hole it was supposed to fit in. They must have sold me the wrong one."

thats funny, the maximum db level that a sound wave can be in this atmosphere is 194dbs the

lol also something interesting.... 202 db's is loud enough to kill you from the shock wave alone
