well one is that my brother wired his hu up i think the first time ever for him well his jimmy apparently didn't have a 12v ignition wire to turn on the hu when key is on and some how there was a wire to his parking lights that was i think yellow and he wired it to that he did not know this and he asked me to come out and look at his wiring and asked me why his cd player only worked when he had his lights on and as you would know i turn the lights off the cd player goes off turn lights on the cd player comes on lmao. so i take those wires apart for him ran him a 12v ign wire wired it up it worked i went back into the house laughing so hard inside

i just had a conversation with a guy i work with and he stated that any subwoofer can take up to 1500w you just need to know how to wire it, i ask ''how did you come to this conclusion?'' he says that his father has some degree in electronics or some bullcrap and that he has done it countless times, he buys low lvl subs and then wires them so they can take up to 1500w, i ask "does he modify the subs at all?" and he say no all he does is wire them a certain way" i asked can i see one of these "setups". he claimed that he sold them all to some company and that he sold the patent as well and cant make that type of "setup" anymore, i am no longer going to talk to this co-worker

One of the stupidest things I heard was when my 19 year old cousin came to town for a visit about a year ago. I was talking to him about car audio and he was a little knowledgable about some things since he said he's been to a few shows around his local area. He asked me what all I was going to do to my car, so I told him my plans and then he says, "I just got a subwoofer setup in my car. Pounds hard!" I asked him what he had gotten. His answer with cool, suave-like nods and a smirking grin: "Insignia". I remember I blinked a few times while staring at him blankly when the images of such an over priced, cincy shit, pre-fab box setup from Best Buy formed in my mind and, instead of saying something smart-assed to put his subs down, I just simply said "Oh, cool." I changed the subject quickly thereafter.

the other day this kid's friend who i sold my pioneer tsw3004spl to and kicker zx1000.1 IMs me and tells me how he tuned the kids system for him and it sounds beastly. I know none of these kids have no idea about car audio at all and asked him what he did to my amp. He told me he turned the bass boost up and i told him that your not really supose to use the bass boost or you'll blow the speaker. He replied and said that the speaker i sold his friend can simply not be blown by a thousand watt amp, and if that isnt stupid enough i asked how far he put the bass boost up and he said a little past halfway, i then signed off lol. I can't wait till next week when they IM me and tell me the sub is fryed.

i was told my kac9102d amp was 2 channels by a guy at a car audio shop. He said because it has 2 pairs of speaker inputs

man this is some funny shit...im sittin in class trying to be quite but the stories are makin me laugh....when i worked in the audio section at best buy this guy comes in telling me his system isnt running as loud as he thought it was gonna ..so i asked him how he ran them and what he had...he was like i bought a 4 channel amp 40*4...i was like what are u running off it...hes like o i got two type r's...i swear people r dumb

and a 2 channel is made for two actually...but can be run on 1 and a mono is made for 1 ...mono meaning the number 1 but can be ran at 2
