Stupid questions

My hdc318 surround isn't lined up perfectly with the mount holes, some are overlapped on the holes like 1/8 inch. Is that ok? And what kinda of screws should. Use to mount the sub because I don't want to mess up the rubber ring, use washers?

Yes, you can use washers. And to avoid tearing the surround, if you are concerned, poke holes through it with a sharp object prior to mounting, instead of just using the screws to pierce it when mounting the speaker.

If you mean the rubber mounting gasket, yes. It not only serves an aesthetic purpose, but also to seal the sub to the enclosure.
