i had my 2500d out for a couple weeks, waiting to get a distroblock, and i finally got it put back in on Monday.

i put in my TC 3Hp...wired at 1 ohm. set the gains with a 44 hz note, the DMM read 50.4 volts...close enough to 50 for my liking.

it pouned fine for like 2 days..then yesterday..on my way home from work it started to reek, just smell awful.

and whenever i play it for like 2 minutes, it just smells and smells

the cone is nice and cool, the port just stinks.

whats the deal?

i wouldnt think so....that TC should def. handle that 2500d...maybe it is too much power though.

from the description that what it sounds like teh smell might go away after awhile, my type r stank for awhile to, then after a couple days smell was gone. i guess excess glue burned off

its been in for like a month before hand though...but ran off my Hifonics BX2005.

maye its just the increase of power.

I'd turn the gain down for a little while and just see if it continues.

im sure the orion is putting out a lot more REAL power than that hifonics was. So I say just turn to the gain down for a while.
