stinger voltage meter instillation

does the stinger voltage meter only have a positive and ground, or is there an ignition wire? also, what is the best way to hook it up as in what should i run it to, amp?
yes theres 3 wire's pos neg and ignitioni have my pos and neg hooked to my battery bank and the ign hooked behind the HU so when i turn car on it turns on

ive got my positive ran to my distro (to read voltage at the amps, most important IMO cause it can still be less than what the battery is) ground, well ground and my REM wire wired into the rem wire of my HU so whenever my amps are on, the meter is on

yeah if ur talkin batt in front butt if u have a batt bank n back and amp on that then its pretty much the same cuz i used a DMM to check and im getin the same reading my amps r only 2 feet off the batt bank plus you dont want your neg that far from the positive that makes the circuit that much bigger n farther to travel...the more voltage travels the more interferance it can have...but he should b ok cuz that meter has a adjuster so run a DMM on ur amps and match it w the meter
