Stinger Voltage gauge wiring

I was starting to wire a stinger voltage gauge and I realized that all I have is speaker wire. Will this work or will it mess up the reading? I just need to know if I can use it or if I need to pick up some other wire tomorrow. Thanks.

yeah man, you need some of the 'voltage gauge' wire...I have some that I could sell you for a good price.

J/K...any wire will work, as long as it conducts electricity...

Wire is wire, mang. It will work. I use speaker wire all the time for things other than speakers, i.e. remote wire.

What is it that you're wanting to hook up with this wire that's "just speaker wire" ??

I got a little stinger voltage meter so I know what my voltage is at in the car at all times. I used the speaker wire and everything seems to work fine. I was comparing to my DMM and everything looks good!
