Stereo system set up?

Also why would you have the pvc pipe sticking out when you could cut it flush with box, does it amplify the sound the longer the tube is.Thanks
The tube will be half inside the box and half sticking out. It should be 2-4 inches away from the back wall of the box and sticking out. Ends should be flared to prevent port noise. The length determine the tuning and it correlates with how big the box is. So there's a whole ratio you need to work out.

Do you by any chance have a pic of another car with the pvc port, just to see an actual pic with it, I also have a 4 channel soundstream 940 I believe, I dont know how good it is thou.
thats for your door speakers. Not gonna be anywhere near enough for your subwoofer.

So what was the reason why the pipe in the pic was so long and not flush with box

whats your general music library?

Its long because you want to tune your box around 30-40 hz. To tune lower, the port needs to be longer or the box needs to be bigger. If the box is only 12 inches deep, and you need 18 inch long port to reach 35hz tuning, the port will need to stick out 10 inches or so.
