Stereo system set up?

I guess your idea of heavy hitting and mine are completely different haha, but the 12in car toys had was really load, it was in a ported box. i cant imagine what heavy hitting means to you.

BTW what subs make the type s and r look like jokes

Definitely not what I was thinking, what 10 in would you go with, you don't think i could fit two 10in
in your 11 x 28 x 12, Thats only enough room for a single 10 in a ported. You can go sealed if you want but you'll need more money and more power and you'll basically achieve the same output results as single 10 in a proper ported on less power and less money spent.

You can do two 10s or a single 12 if you give up more trunk space.

If you can give up more room, i'd do the single 12. Good results and less money spent because price per smaller woofer costs a lot more than just having a single big woofer.

BTW is it the*1200rms hds310 I would want.
Thats a good starting out sub. You'll need some decent power going to it though.

You can pair that sub (d4 configuration) with this amp

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_43364_JBL-GTO-1001EZ.html

This is a HDS312 with that same JBL amp setup that another member that was just like you did in their setup a few months ago and thats a trunk. in a hatchback, you should be decently louder even with a 10.

So when picking a amp go by rms correct
Well, not quite. There's garbage amps out there that lie out of their @ss just to make a sale to noobs with bloated RMS power numbers. Lets just say a boss, pyle, pyramid, amp claiming 1500 rms will only do around 150 rms on its best day.. Amazon reviews are from 16 yr olds who just got their first system and they exaggerate results. That JBL amp I listed earlier is a very solid and powerful amp for the money spent that will put out its rated power no problem while having great sound quality. Basically gotta look for company reputation, how well the guts/internals look, where its made korea, europe and US being the best. Along with amplifier dyno videos or clamp tests with an oscilloscope.

Also for your box, you'll want it to be ported with a 4 inch pvc port however it'll be longer than the box itself so it will be sticking out a little bit. Here's an example. Would that be okay with you? the length in the pic is just a guess, actual length could be less.

Do you by any chance have a pic of another car with the pvc port, just to see an actual pic with it, I also have a 4 channel soundstream 940 I believe, I dont know how good it is thou.
