Using Receiver Amp with KRK RP5G3-NA Rokit 5?

I know that these particular speakers have a built-in amp to them. However I would like to connect these speakers to a receiver in which I could be able to control/equalize from the receiver as well as adding a subwoofer? Is there a receiver that would be compatible with this type of setup?

Connect via 1/8 inch TRS/XLR to dual RCA and it'll be treated as a speaker. Most recievers have 5.1 or 7.1 with speaker leads to the amp OR RCA connections.

Hey Jeff, thanks for the reply. So I want to know what you mean as treated as a speaker? Are you saying it is possible for these type of speakers to work with a reciever. I'm looking for a receiver where I can connect the 2 speakers and 1 sub. The two connections you mentioned, how does it get connected?
