Stereo install question

I have a 20126 Toyota Camry LE with the Entune Audio and I am removing the system from my 2005 CRv and will be putting what I can in the Camry.

From the looks of things the radio is fairly integrated with the car so I don't think I can remove it and use something else.

How would I integrate the radio with these components?

JBL MS-8 processor

JL 300-4V2

JL 300-4 internally bridged

JL 500/1 V2

I would prefer a line out on the radio itself, but I doubt it has any so that would involve using the speaker level outputs, although given I work in avionics I could possibly add line level outputs controlled by the volume control.

Also it has rear deck speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/plthumbsdown.gif.d7966af824c93c6021d1aae1778b1c19.gif which I do not like as the left one is always pretty much right behind the driver's seat.

There are also no place in the rear door panels to put any speakers and I doubt the rear doors have any cutouts for speakers.

What I want is to replace the stock front door speakers and figure out a way to install rear door speakers if possible or just not use any rear speakers (will do away with one amplifier) and will use the dash tweeters which will be powered from the MS-8 like they are in my CRv.

If I do not use the rear deck speakers would removing them allow more bass to be heard inside the vehicle?

I'll be using at first a single JL 12W6V2 sub and seeing if that is enough as I refoamed both subs but the glue on the other didn't set right in one area and would have to re-do that one before I use it.

That would indeed work, although I'm trying to stay away from the internal amplifier of the receiver if at all possible.

A quick look on Crutchfield showed receivers that would fit and even a kit to keep the factory backup camera and steering wheel controls, but the stereo is somewhat integrated with the display on the dash as it displays a summary of the trip once the car is turned off.

The JBL MS-8 does have a speaker level input on it, but I would have to find the cable for it which I have somewhere.

The factory stereo itself does go loud, but not quite loud enough.

This is something where I'd have to get the necessary speakers plus adapters unless I can run new wiring directly to the speakers since I will be using the factory radio.

That would still only give me front door speakers and dash tweeters as I am not using rear deck speakers unless the JBL MS-8 can make it sound like the speaker right behind the driver's seat is more to the left.

For the single JL sub I can just use a 1 cu ft sealed box and get great results. I would need some sort of amp rack for the processor and amplifiers though as they won't all fit on the box itself.

Either way this looks like it could cost a bit of money and if so it may be awhile, but I could buy pieces and parts as I get the money to do so.

Decided to look at the dash tweeters and I was expecting them to be dome tweeters given the good sound, but they are cone tweeters.

I promptly installed a couple Onkyo dome tweeters I had gotten from a box of 200 I purchased on Parts Express a few years ago for $10.

Whoever designed those original tweeters made it easy as I just had to loosen the ring at the rear and desolder two terminals then solder the dome tweeter wires along with a 12 ohm resistor in parallel to keep the impedance at 4 ohms.

Here's the mount I made for the tweeters

That just lowers the impedance to the 4 ohms of the original tweeters.

Also the 6 ohm impedance of the tweeters would have lowered the crossover point by almost 3KHz and I didn't have the right capacitor value to replace the original with.

Only temporary though and they sound balanced with the door speakers.

As I get the time and money I'll install the system from my 2005 CRv and the dash tweeters will then be powered from two channels of a JBL MS-8 processor like they were in the CRv.

Today I put the sound on the rear speakers only and the placement on the rear deck didn't sound all that bad so I may install replacement speakers in the rear deck and let the processor work its magic.

Looks like I'll have to take the signal from the internal amp of the processor and feed it to the speaker level input of the processor, but that will be easy due to the way the wiring is where the door speaker wiring goes to the tweeters and then to the head unit. I can just disconnect the tweeters from the wiring and use that to feed the processor provided it is easy to run wiring to where the tweeters are.

That will require all three amplifiers though with using the rear deck speakers.

Not quite sure how I'll mount the amps and processor though.

I can take a picture of the inside of the trunk tomorrow and of the box I will use for the sub and post them here.

Here's the original tweeters.
