That would indeed work, although I'm trying to stay away from the internal amplifier of the receiver if at all possible. A quick look on Crutchfield showed receivers that would fit and even a kit to keep the factory backup camera and steering wheel controls, but the stereo is somewhat integrated with the display on the dash as it displays a summary of the trip once the car is turned off. The JBL MS-8 does have a speaker level input on it, but I would have to find the cable for it which I have somewhere. The factory stereo itself does go loud, but not quite loud enough. This is something where I'd have to get the necessary speakers plus adapters unless I can run new wiring directly to the speakers since I will be using the factory radio. That would still only give me front door speakers and dash tweeters as I am not using rear deck speakers unless the JBL MS-8 can make it sound like the speaker right behind the driver's seat is more to the left. For the single JL sub I can just use a 1 cu ft sealed box and get great results. I would need some sort of amp rack for the processor and amplifiers though as they won't all fit on the box itself. Either way this looks like it could cost a bit of money and if so it may be awhile, but I could buy pieces and parts as I get the money to do so.
