Starting to lift....

Before you listen to some of the bad advice here, go to http://www.bodybuilding.com and read up on things for yourself. They have workout programs for beginners and all the information you need to read up on. BTW, for those of you that think you continue to get stronger after you get off creatine, you're wrong, when you get off creatine, you actually lose some or most of the strength you gained while on it. You also lose some size due to your muscles not retaining as much water anymore. But like I said, before you take some of the bad advice given here, do some research for yourself then ask questions on a site that has trainers and people who've been lifting longer than you've been alive.
I have yet to see someone post some entirely wrong information, but reading is always good...

I have noticed your workout log, coming along fairly good there, huh man?

Oh man. My brother holds state bench records. He would have had an American record but there wasn't a legitimate judge at the meet. He was benching 325 when he was 15, 385 when he was sixteen, and 445 when he was 17.

Of course that got me into lifting when i was about 13, when i was 16 I was up to like 295? Right now i can probably only do like 250 because I havent lifted in a few weeks(lazy, its winter)

Our routine was like this.... Lift everyday for 1-2 hours for 5 or 6 days, rest 1 or 2 days, Repeat. Its not healthy though. My brother already feel the pain in his joints from arthritis.

so whatever you do, dont go crazy

But I would actually like to see a picture of you... I dont know anyone that tall that weighs so little.

Added- I am 6' even and weigh just shy of 215.

can creatine cause acne?

No but andro can and if someone was getting acne saying it was from creatine they were probably on this stuff. It spikes your test levels way up but has side effects similar to a steroid. It's by definition natural, as it is derived from a tree I believe. Andro definitely works (but not as good as a steroid) but I wouldn't recomend using it.

Creatine does work but in my opinion it is cheating so I stay away from it.

As for some of the comments on bench press, don't worry about the numbers you are putting up on it. Be patient keep good form and don't overdue it on bench press. I hurt my shoulder pretty bad doing a set of 105 dumbells without a spot on the first rep. Didn't feel the pain until I put the weight down. You can get big without relying on bench press. If you do decide to do bench press make sure you strengthen the stabilizer muscles in your shoulders to minimize risk of a shoulder injury. Also make sure you do low back and abs exercises. You may look stupid doing the low back exercises but they are very important when you start lifting heavier.

The most important part is eating. You have to eat to grow. If you don't eat you will end up with muscle catabolism and defeat the purpose of lifting.

Okay what's your weight and height? I hope you're extremely heavy and short or you are just full of BS.

Jtomsic, your friends a strong kid. How old is he and how tall/heavy?

Im 6'4" 205... pretty lax about my lifting though the past few months, mainly been messin around with the heavy bag

Joshpoints, how am I full of BS. I worked up every **** pound I can bench, and it wasnt easy, I got A MASSIVE armlength to press that weight

Ask anyone involved in lifting for real, 250, 295 even, isnt an unbelievable figure
