Starting car w/ amp on

Is it bad for an amplifier if it is on while you crank the car up? The voltage indicated goes very low for a second. No music playing.

It will be fine, it won't be drawing much load at all. They are designed to survive with some voltage drop anyway.

Amps have protection built in, so they will turn off momentarily if the voltage dips too low.

I dont like anything on until I turn it on. I always turn my hu down and then off before I turn the vehicle off. same with anything else I am not using such as A/C ect
