Starting a new Car Audio shop. Wanted your opinion on starting lineup?

That's be thought out.
Not going thru distribution.

No quotas.

We're only going to be direct with a handful of companies. With that said, those companies that we sign with will get our undivided attention.
Well if you are going to go thru distrubutors to buy your product, odds are you will pay a little bit more for product, also warranting stuff is a PITA.

That is a nice line up. If you want Dyn, Morel, Rainbow I think I can help with that. Or at least get you talking to the right people.
Focal has been very good to us in the past. Plus, you can't really go wrong with their product. The entire line from the new Access stuff to the Be's sound very nice at the price point. Plus ORCA is a very good company to work with.

Thank you for your assistance though. I might contact you if need be.

Yes, the price will be a little higher. But it's well worth it, imo. I get to choose how much I want to sell a year. I get to choose how much inventory we can carry at any given time. no quota's to make. No salesman evaluating how much product you've have or haven't bought.

The warranty's are usually taken care of by the manufacture, even if bought through a distribution center.

Here are the lines we plan on bringing into the store. We plan on bringing most of the lines in through authorized distribution. Alpine, Focal, USAmps, and a few others will be direct.
Here is the lineup so far.

As you can see, we have a few "Main Stream" lines for the "non-car audio enthusiasts" Then we have the "specialty" lines for the guys that are in the know. ie, Nak, Second Skin, knu wire, etc.

As car audio enthusiasts. Do you see any changes I should make in the lineup? What brands would you like to see in our store IF in fact we were local to you?

Thanks for the help guys.
For deadening..speak to Doug at Cascade and that will suit all of your needs and will provide Excellent assistance and support.

If dealing with AudioControl direct..expect to drop $3200 for a buyin. Including a SA-3051 at a substantially discounted price. If not doing direct..you will lose dealer locator support and typically 5-10% above sheet cost.

Settle in on A wire company. If you want something to offer your "high end" customers then look into Pear Cable or even IXOS. Neither have demands set on quantities. Personally Ive run with Stinger for Many years..plethora of products and pricing structure is fair for the volume.

DEI for alarms..TONS of price points for various consumers. Seasonal promos for all retail level types. You also wont confuse your installers when their under a time pressure install. This also leaves less confusion for the customers when they say "which is better?" or "Which would you pick?"

Peripheral as well as Best Kits come from Aamp Of America-Stinger. Best kits is produced by Scosche. Aamp has quite a large array to choose from and would easily take over the wants you may have from Scosche.

Install Bay is exceptional on both product and availablity. Select may offer a bit more, but theyre also a bit more pricey and are not very flexible with those prices as Install bay is.

If your planning for Nak..they do have a buy in as well. Theyre only dealt with direct and ship from Canada. Do not expect anything delivered fast and you may possibly get stuck with tariffs and duties. They do offer direct-over the counter exchange now, but will charge you for a new unit prior to shipping it to you. Do Not expect to have your credit/debit card credited back promptly. It may take several weeks.

Is that bad so to speak? I hear about shops in different towns with the same name all the time?
Not at all...just wondering if i knew them....They used alot of focal in the past aswell and i guess this guy has a good relationship with them......To many things incommon with the shop i knew..maybe its just me tho..
