Starting a new Car Audio shop. Wanted your opinion on starting lineup?

Where will this be in Cali? And whats the purpose for 2 sound deading compinies? Flexibility i guess?

I can't say what part of California yet. But I will release that info the closer we get to opening the doors.

The reason for the the two sound deadening companies is the same reason for the two wires companies. As a retailer I'm trying to hit all the markets. If someone that isn't a fan so-to-speak when it comes to car audio has more or less heard of either Dynamat or Monter Cable. it's an easy sale. But as a Fan myself or the car audio scene. I have used Second Skin or KunKoncepts before and in my mind I know that make a superior product over the main stream lines. So for the people that ask for my opinion on what they should buy. I know what I'll sell them. For the people that already have their minds made up. I know what to sell them.

MB Quart and Boston Acoustics could offer a midrange b/w alpine and pioneer and your top of the line focal...

Gotcha. Jus keep us posted on whre its going to be. I'd love to support a new shop as much as i can, especially with good products.

you might have trouble w/ MTX and kicker because of circuit city, unless you have cheaper prices, will this be in the bay area by any chance?!?!

We will advertise the same price as CC. Give discounts and such as needed to make the sale, but we're not a cut throat type of business.

as long as your customer service is excellent, and your customers leave on time inside budjet and happy, i dont think it matters what product lines you carry. might wanna throw some q logic kicks into the mix? but definately in these times customer servis and satisfaction will influence the sucsess of your endeavour more than product lines.....imo, id rather have a store do work for me and my car be ready and finished and not have to go back because of some problem, and sound good , then the car be 6 hours late have to take it back for an 'issue' . customer satisfation must be your first priority, ESPECIALLY as we all know we can buy any product on line cheaper than you will sell it to us?

Absolutely. We have the customer service in the bag. Especially since we all have been in the industry for quite a long time.

Well, as all you know I'm not trying to sell to the Internet Crowd. Unfortunatly we as a shop can't compete with online prices. The reason I come to you guys for advice? Because you're first and for most, fans. As I am. That's why I value your opinion.

I have spoken to "most" of the suppliers. The crew starting this store is coming from a very detailed background in the industry.

Yes, one of the most flexible wires i have ever played with. Flexible = ~4700 strands... Oooohweee!!!

If you happen to be a Dynamat dealer, they will cut you off if they find out you have another sound deadner in store.

you have spread yourself too thin, furthermore, you have alot of companies that are in direct competition with each other. Find a couple of solid companies and stick to them, you have to remember you have quotas to meet.

We're only going to be direct with a handful of companies. With that said, those companies that we sign with will get our undivided attention.
