Starting a new Car Audio shop. Wanted your opinion on starting lineup?

Here are the lines we plan on bringing into the store. We plan on bringing most of the lines in through authorized distribution. Alpine, Focal, USAmps, and a few others will be direct.

Here is the lineup so far.

Alpine - Decks, Subs, Mid/highs, Amplifiers, Video, etc.

Pioneer - Decks, Mid/highs.

Kenwood - Decks

Nakamichi - Decks

Focal - Mid/highs

Audio Control - Sound Processing

Rockford Fosgate - Subs, Amplifiers

Kicker - Subs, Amplifiers

MTX - Subs

Moster Cable - Wire

KnuKoncepts - Wire

RE Audio - Subs

USAmps - Amplifiers

Select Products - Supplies

Metra Install Bay - Supllies

Scosche - Kits/Harnesses

Dynamat - Sound Deadening

Second Skin - Sound Deadening

Viper - Alarms

Scytek - Alarms

Nesa - Video

Icon TV - Video

Periphrial - OEM integration

Q-Logic - kicks

As you can see, we have a few "Main Stream" lines for the "non-car audio enthusiasts" Then we have the "specialty" lines for the guys that are in the know. ie, Nak, Second Skin, knu wire, etc.

As car audio enthusiasts. Do you see any changes I should make in the lineup? What brands would you like to see in our store IF in fact we were local to you?

Yes, one of the most flexible wires i have ever played with. Flexible = ~4700 strands... Oooohweee!!!

Alpine, pioneer for the bulk of them. Then Focal for the high end. We only have so much room on the display boards we built. 12 sets of highs can be placed on the board at once.

Do you think we should bring in Kicker, MTX, or Fosgate mids/highs?

Date not set in stone. Dec 1st if we get lucky.

But most likely Jan 1st.

I have spoken to "most" of the suppliers. The crew starting this store is coming from a very detailed background in the industry.

you might have trouble w/ MTX and kicker because of circuit city, unless you have cheaper prices, will this be in the bay area by any chance?!?!

well personally hig $ stuff is for guys who know, and if u want to gear it to them then thats one thing, but then u have to keep in mind that some of the lower level customers will want stuff and they cant afford it, plus theres always the name sake, people lik names they know, so some people go all rf or all mtx or all pioneer u know....myself i only frequent dealers that sell high dollar stuff mainly boston acoustics
