that is all bone stock etc.- my plans are to leave it very close to stock in apprearance and modularity, but to modify it to fit my style/needs a little better. This means i want to acheive sql levels befitting the fact that i derive quite a bit of my income from custom installations and car audio sales. I also want to modify the stance/wheels a bit- but don't/can't justify modifying the body or interior substantially of my vehicle. I have to keep in mind there are only about 1100 of these in north america, and it deserves to retain it's basic feel/soul/whatever. I WILL, however, be truly modifying the motor as soon as i finish my show truck and can put the funds away- it just sounds like too much fun to add another hundred hp or more with a blower from hps.com (i've talked to the owner there quite a bit, and decided i will eventually go with his kit).

anyways- plans for the exterior simply include lowering springs and these staggered (19x8.5/19x9.5) wheels-

The stereo as it sits now consists of-

stock hu

audiocontrol lc6

audiocontrol eql

audiocontrol model 20 (with custom modules for 70-720 hz bandpass- for the internal amp powering dayton rs 7"ers in the front doors and 720 hz high pass for the output)

ppi art series powering vifa 3" soft domes and boston pro tweeters up front

american bass xd2000 (for sale btw- i want to switch to ppi a.s.a.p.) powering SI BM 10s

Here are a couple shots of the kickpanels with the Vifas-

I just plan on rapping them in matching vinyl- wanted to keep them as small as possible etc.

I will be running my amps in the spare tire well, and the subs in the forward most part of the trunk. I intend to build a "false wall" so that it appears the trunk is just smaller than it is rather than exposing the box or subs from the rear- this wall will be finished in white and black vinyl to match the AMG interior.

I will let myself have a little more fun with the front of the sub box though, so that when the seats fold down there will be some curved fiberglass etc. flush with the opening. I will also mount the eql there so that it can be adjusted without going into the trunk.

let me know what you think- i'll add more pictures as they become available

Spent about 2 hrs today figuring out how to fit those 7"ers in the doors- not going to be quite as easy as expected... lol.

Looks like i'll be customizing the grilles so that they extend about 1.5" further "out" from the door panel than stock then wrapping them in black grille cloth for a factory look.

I'll snap some pictures when i make some decent progress again.
