Ihave a set of cdt cl62 components in my f150. They are rated for 150rms and i have a xenon 100.2 on them. They sound good but i really wish they would get louder. The vocals seem to be there but i feel like i am lacking some volume in the upper range.

1. ditch the 100.2 and give them a full 150rms

2. get an imaging set to run off the HU

3. new set of components.

buy my Xenon 200.2 (its for sale)- that will wake em up!

in reality they can handle alot more than they say,of course your ears are another story. I always prefer more power than less RMS

Tried messing with positioning of the speakers? Do you have tweeter attenuation engaged? Any EQ settings?

In reality, a 50w increase wouldn't be much of a change. Remember, you have to double power to increase output by 3db (theoretically).

Eh...if you are happy with them overall, no point in buying something new. Just try minor tweaking till you get the sound a little closer to what you want.

the tweeter is set at 0db, and i replaced my memphis 16x03 with an audiocontrol eql. It definately helped them out but i wish they got a lil louder. The tweeter is in the sail panel.

i guess i will keep them because they bring movies to life. it just when i wan to turn it up on I-5, i find myself wishing i could get more outta them.

I was listening to some tupac on the way to work and when i first started the song, it was crisp and clean. I turned it up and it sounded like it got flatter and flatter, finally it wasn't distorted but it was like i had 0 eq settings. I lowered it back down and it seemed to slowly clear back up.

does cdt have some sort of tweeter protection?? it sounded like i was listening to just the midranges but as soon as i went back down to normal listning volume, it was very sharp and crisp.

I had the same problem with a pair of Boston Pro 5.5s turn it up and the tweeters seem to get real flat..could`nt figure that out..hope someone could tell me whats goning on btw they were powered By a PPI A-300(75x2)

this fade problem is pissing me off to the point to where i am about to trash the cdt's and go with something else. the only thing stopping me is the fact that it took 2 days to get the components in (mod 5x7 opening to fit 6.5's, dynamat, xover mount) and i don't want to deal with the hassle of pulling them out.

Is there anyone in the oceanside/san diego/la area that wants to hear it and maybe give me a tip? I am at my wits end.
