sq system

My buddy has a 00 BMW M3 and has $800 to send on a sq system. He needs 6x9 in the back and some 3 way comps in the front- 4 inch mid, 6 mid, and tweet and amp . He wants no subs. I had focal or hertz for speakers in mind. Zapco reference, autotek mm, or alpine amps in mind?

i'd go hertz with zed amps (bb upgrade of course).

He can fit some 4 inch coax in the back instead of the 6x9. His idea to put 6x9 but I will try to convience him to get 4 coax in the back. Never heard of zed. Can't be to expensive because the total is $800

tell him to just focus on the fronts, no need for rear fill. You should know that. But if he still wants it then i guess go ahead

Your asking for SQ and not looking at it at all.

I would vote the Focal 165 set with the zapco ref amp you ahve selected. No rears. Not needed.

yah he agreed on the focal 3 way comps and that zapco amp

I sent you a PM but I will post in here as well to get some feedback besides mine. For the 3-way if your interested I have a NIB set of Rainbow SLC 365s. I was very pleased with the ones I put in my car.

And as said before The 6x9s = bad SQ. If he doesnt want subs I would see if you can fit some 8s in there and use them for the bass or maybe some 6.5s like CDTs HD-M6. For amps I always liked Cadence. The ZRS 1502 would be good for most 3-way components and rear fill.
